Learning Objectives for the 2017 Meeting:
· Promote cooperation among cancer centres/programs in Atlantic Canada and improve the quality of patients’ cancer care.
· Discuss recent developments in the management of lung cancer including optimizing patient flow and diagnosis, personalized medicine, and immunotherapy.· Discuss how and why smoking cessation needs to be a priority in cancer control and cancer clinics.· Review the most up to date data in molecular profiling of solid tumors and practice changing updates from ASCO.· Enhance knowledge in the area of medical marijuana and addressing sexuality in survivorship care.· Continue the discussion around physician assisted death one year after legislation.
This meeting is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for category one CME credits within the MOC Program. A certificate will be issued to attendees during the meeting.
